SK Grease cap removal...wanted to share how I removed mine....

I reviewed all the ideas I found for removing the grease caps off a speed king I was rebuilding. I thought I would try something different (I'm sure its been done but I haven't found the idea anywhere). Strong Magnets. I used magnets out of an old hard drive. These are strong as hell and you have to be careful with them. Put magnet on the cap, then used channel locks. Pulled the caps right off my speed king. I did use a little WD40 first...but it worked like a charm. Hope this helps.

I put a wash cloth over them and tap them with a hammer until they pop. Works every time. You don't have to tell us that getting that cap off of the magnet wasn't easy.

A tap, or two with a hammer and they pop right off.

The magnet slides off without issue. However, pulling it straight off is the challenge and why it removes from the pedal...

Interesting idea, I had no idea that hard drives had powerful magnets inside of them. Il have to try this someday, I have an old drive sitting in my garage.
