Does anyone know if the old rivets that were on sizzle cymbals are still available? I don't have a photo of them.
I want to put them on my K Zildjian.........the holes are there - but the rivets are gone.

Ya know, that old thing is useless Hurting without those rivets, and I'm sure it sounds just terrible,Toilet so why don't you just donate it to drums4charity :p....I'll find it a good home....

Zildjian rivet packs are available on eBay from time to time
You know I'm just kidding.....right?
Of course I do ..........thanks for the reply! I don't know happened here but last night (early this morning) I replied to your first post re: the cymbals - I thought I sent it but it's not here - I guess I didn't hit the Submit button after I reviewed it - it happens from time to time.
I'll pick up some Zildjian rivets I guess.
I'll have to buy a new arm - there's nothing left to rethread on the one I have - there's only an 1/4" or so and room for one or two threads, but no room to put one of those little plastic cymbal-savers on........Oh well - the joys (and $$$$) of restoring - haha.
Cheers,
Thought I'd pass this along:
I sent a note & photos of my K to Zildjian and they're sending me pack of 12 rivets x-mas3 - nice of them! They really liked my cymbal and were happy to see the photos. They want more photos........they're going to get more photos
Thought I'd mention in lieu of rivets one can drape some beaded chain
down from the cymbal rod holder on any cymbal to get a nice cheap
little sizzle effect. :)

Yes - that's right. I did that on some of my Istanbul Agops on my Renown kit. It worked not bad, but I ended up buying a Mel Lewis 21 Sizzle ride...nice cymbal.
I put roofing nails in my sizzler and they worked for about two hits before they all fell out!!!
I have two original rivets left so I am telling people that the two rivets is the sound I wanted!!! LOLLaughing H

That's exactly how many rivets (2) that my Mel Lewis 21 Istanbul Agop Sizzle Ride has - it sounds great.
As an aside to this Mel Lewis ride: I bought it last Christmas (from Santa). I noticed what looked like a very small - hair-line crack (scratch?) at the edge of one of the two rivets. I sent photos to the cymbal-guy I bought it from. He sent an email back and told me to keep playing it and to let him know if it gets worse.
Two days later a brand new Mel Lewis 21" - still in the Istanbul Agop bag - arrived at my door. I immediately called to thank the retailer and told him I'd send the other back. He said no - it's alright - just keep it too - and that the photos I sent were on record and it's under warranty.
Not bad service! I still have "both" cymbals.
