Should I be upset????

Loading...

OK, another e bay deal, you tell me if I have the right to be upset. last week, I saw this Premier snare on EB, I sent the link to my buddy who is a premier expert, on his thoughts on the snare. he tells me, no question it is NOT a premier snare. it just has a premier head on it, but he could not tell the brand. so I message the seller about it and he says, OH, yeah your right its a premier its a DW" so like the trusting soul Iam, I bid on it and won it. it came in today. No where on the drum does it say DW, in fact its a generic no name drum looks maybe home made, but it is not what I thought I was buying. How can these poeple do this and think its ok, I voiced my concern to the seller waiting for a repsonse, I told him I was not happy, what do you think?

I would be upset too. As a matter of fact I would contact ebay and let them handle the issue. Send them all the messages between you two and get it sorted out. Ebay drives me nuts sometimes with how much people lie AND get away with. Sellers like that should be banned outright.

I'd be very upset! He flat-out lied to you. I'd demand a refund and seller pay return shipping.

I'm no guru, just a vintage drum junkie!

First step open a complaint with eBay. Don't wait because there is a specific window of time and if the seller is slow at responding you may miss out. Don't let the seller set the timetable.

Second, I wonder what DW would make of somebody selling fakes? How aggressively do they protect the good name of their brand. Can you get DW on side to help you?

Third, the seller may by ignorant rather than dishonest. I find it helps to always keep that in mind. How the seller behaves now is the test of an honest seller. It is possible to be both ignorant and honest.

Any way you slice it, from what you've said it's clearly an "item not as described" case. I'm not sure on the specific process, but there will be instructions on the eBay website on how to do that...

The seller refunded me half the price of the drum, and i keep it, I'm ok with that, it was cheap, so I'm not that upset, he handled it fine, and according to his feedack, its all positive, I assume he was just ignorant on drum gear. It makes me uneasy for future purchases though.......

I'm glad it worked out for you.

I buy and sell both on eBay. As a seller I try to be as complete in the description as possible. As a buyer, I NEVER hesitate to ask questions, especially when it seems the seller is clueless. And believe me there are a BUNCH of them out there selling vintage drums that are just that...
