Agreed.........overall, in all of my many, many transactions I have rarely had any shipping issues with USPS. It is amazing to think years ago without the internet, of the lack of availability of vintage drums. There isn't a single music shop in almost all of Ontario that sells any sort of vintage drums. flower

There used to be a company called Songbird Music, that did a broad range of vintage stuff---2 branches Toronto and Ottawa. I knew them in the T.O. branch fairly well.It had about 600 sq. devoted to drums. Ottawa went belly up and kind of took the Toronto branch with it but it didn't seem that the Toronto branch was doing that well either. The Ottawa branch's drum section got bought by a former employee , I think, and has become Dave's Drum Shop. It's small but pretty good. I've been there about 5 times. It's almost all vintage. In Toronto, there really isn't a dedicated vintage shop and 2 of the 3 big exclusive drum shops are intimidating. If you ask about vintage stuff, they look at you like you have snot for a brain. I asked about vintage pedals once at the big ostentatious shop in North York; the one on Yonge St. just north of the other one on Yonge St, where they are o.k. and are pretty hooked on hand drums though; this, though, is the shop with all kinds of autographed heads on the walls, and dozens of pictures of the owner groping rockstars ; oh , sorry, back to the pedals; the answer was " we have lots of new pedals that will knock your socks off". There were in fact about 25 vintage pedals behind the counter. So. Yes we are underpriveledged here in Canada when it comes to vintage drums. We have to do our shopping on the internet. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

There is little interest in vintage drums in Canada from a retail point of view.We dont have the population to support the cost, but Canadians in general are "leary" of anything w/o a warranty. Its a long story...DO NOT open a store out west unless you want that little greasy rodent called Dunnet knocking on your door.If you let him in,its the beginning of a new set of problems for you...trust me!
