WOW! That's COOL! I have the very same snare drum. I think they only came in WMP finish. At least I've never seen a Sherwood drum in any other finish. Man, I LOVE my Sherwood snare. Even though it was likely considered a budget line back then, it's really well-made. It's basically a Ludwig drum with no built-in muffler and an extra-small throwoff. The brass single flange rims and clips were also likely considered budget back then. I have played mine with both modern drumheads and calfskin heads. I prefer the calfskins, but either way, thats a darn good snare drum. I'm sure the bass drum is nice, too. Yours is the first matched set I have ever seen. NICE!
