Setomatic vs. Super Setomatic

I bought a set of 70s Slingerland mahogany concert shells, which I'm selling on eBay now, to get the Super Setomatic (SS) for my 70s WMP kit. The bass mount on the mahogany kit is up near the front while the WMP bass mount is in the middle. I can see why it came with the mahogany kit since you need it to reach the toms. Can I still use the Super Setomatic on my WMP kit or do I need to get a regular Setomatic? Did the SS only come on bass drums with the mount in the front? Thanks.

You can use the ss mount in your bass. Depending on how you like your toms positioned, the toms may be too close to you, maybe not.

I used to use the double setomatic arm (the one with the short stubs) to hold one of the two toms in the super mount (instead of one single arm) for better positioning. (So, in the super mount I'd have on single arm and one double...)
