Set of WMP Holiday Rogers here in the local Goodwill store Last viewed: 2 days ago

Set of 5 plus one of some other type. Pretty complete floor tom, bass and one other but a couple are missing the rings where the heads go. I didn't write the SN's down but the address on the labels say Fullerton, CA. I don't know anything about drums...obviously. But I have seen some of the terminology used to date the Rogers drums (pre CBS and stuff). Comparing to drums on ebay, these look like what others are calling the white marine pearl. I can go back and get the SN's. No real bad damaged seen but there are a couple of small chips out of the finish around the edges here and there along with some old stickers that need taken off. The place wants $500 but they have been there a while and I think they are about to cut the price. Any advice or help?

Does a snare come with it? Where's it located?

I'll get the serial numbers and sizes of the drums. I'm pretty sure the smallest one is the snare but I think that one is missing the ring. I thought the date made could be estimated from where they were made (Fullerton). I don't think they'll take $250 but they might cut the price to 350 or 400. I'm thinking about buying them just as a project to put back together but would hope I could liquidate them if I ever needed to without loosing money.

I think you would be able to recoup if needed at that price. Go for it!

goodwill stores do not haggle prices. most have 4 or 5 different color tags. so for instance everything they are putting out this week has a green tag. depending on the number of different color tags it will go to half price in 4 or 5 weeks. and then if it isnt sold that week on sunday it will go for 99 cents. they have strict guidlines for the sales of their merch because they know it is an easy business to commit fraud. if someone offers that at a lower price they are probably not on the level.

It's not really a goodwill store. It's a non profit second hand store. If they keep something for a long time, they cut the price some and try to sell it and keep cutting until it does.

Here are the sizes of the set and SN's:

13x9 SN 28956

10x14 Part of tag missing unknown SN

16x16 SN 26485

22x14 SN 66129

18x16 SN 61349

There is a 6th drum ( snare) of unknown make...probably something cheap that goes with the set of Rogers but is not the same. Can anybody tell me the date of mfg?
