Seeking info on this Star set.

Hi Fellas,

I was wondering wether anybody here could give me more info on this kit.

What I do know is that it's a 1960's MIJ Star kit.

The images are not good but that wrap looks pretty cool, somebody knows what it's called?

The snare also looks quite nice, seems like a 6,5" 10 lugger.

All info highly appreciated.

Thanks

I know nothing about this kit, but are you looking to add to the collection, Stef? Seems like you're cleaning up on drums in Europe these days!

Nice. Yes, it's Fantasia Pearl and the kit is late 60s to early 70s. The snare is in the matching wrap from what I can see which makes it a very cool set. I see Steve Maxwell sold a similar set recently, look it up on youtube. Quite rare. If the price is decent it'd be worth grabbing.

I know, I know but what do you do when sellers don't check their emails and you don't have a phone number or address,....ViolinViolinViolin

OK Fellas,

Yesterday I picked them up for €150,00.

Sizes are: 20", 16", 13", 12" and a 5,5" by 14" 10 lug snare.

The kit is in great condition and nothing seems to be missing.

Once the build up of 40 years dust is cleaned up, I'm sure it will look great. Most of the original heads are still on. No extra holes or scratches and the wrap looks killer.

The shells are without re-rings and have the grey paint interior finish.

I'd love to have a better idea of the manufacturing date.

The nice bonus is the 22" UFIP medium thin ride.

Once the cleaning starts, I'll start a thread in the "restore" section.

Regards

Stef

Very nice. You got a great deal. That Ufip alone is worth 150. Love those old Star drums. That is where I started my career!
