Hello -

I'm new to this forum and am seeking info on this old Ludwig bass drum.

The shell measures 24" X only 6" deep, it has age appropriate 1920's era Ludwig badge, and no marks or labels inside the shell.

!920's era Ludwig catalogs show "Home" drum kits with similar size narrow bass drums, however the 1923 catalog is the only only one (that I've found) that lists the 24 X 6 size. The other thing that doesn't seem to fit is this shell appears to me (and others) to be mahogany while the catalogs list these "Home" kit shells as maple.

The pedal appears to be a Ludwig "junior" model from the 1920's.

I'm from the drum corps world and my experience is with older rope tension drums. Any info is welcomed - thanks in advance
