Sea Green Pearl

Loading...

I'm considering recovering a WFL kit (with 28" bd and tacked bottom skins) and would like to use a Sea Green Pearl wrap like this if at all possible.

Does anyone supply it? Is it an 'acceptable' finish for WFL's?

Thanks.

That will be a very cool project indeed. To my knowledge that wrap is no longer produced. If you would like to recreate it you could use Drummaker's "ColorWrap" system. It's pretty expensive, but those drums are certainly worth the expense if the original wrap is not useable.

fish - Precision has a version, but it is much darker than the faded wrap on that drum and the chip pattern is tighter. The Precision wrap is the modern version of the color. I want to do a set of drums in this wrap at some point myself. Great color.

I really like that color too. I'd love to do a kit in it someday. If you can get a good color match on the green the rest should be easy. DM uses the Pantone color system for those wrap colors. I covered it a bit in the RK resto thread of mine. If you need help matching the color I can help. There's a accordian of all things in a local club here (wall hanger) with the same sea green pearl nitro wrap on it. I plan to take a pantone book and find the closest color match and go from there. On my ta do list one of these days. ;)

I agree, I LOVE the Sea Green Pearl. But nobody has that wrap color. The Precision wrap is way, way off.

This is a great color for a Radio King Restore.

It's not so much that the Precision color is off, it is the fact that it is green pearl which is a different color altogether.

Youre right TNs. I just wish SOMEONE would offer the Sea Green Pearl in a wrap today. I have a gretsch project coming up and man, if someone had it, I'd use it, no question!!

I believe you could recreate that with the Drummaker product. It would be expensive and it would look pristine and have a contemporary chip pattern as opposed to aged, but I think you could be really successful with it.
