Scary thing just happened!

Loading...

I just got back from a gig uptown and realized that the back door of the vehicle had opened and my favourite snare and my cymbal case were no longer in the back. PANIC!!!!!! We drove back up the hill and there was a guy waiting on a street corner with my gear. When the light changed the (faulty) back door open and my cymbals and snare fell out into the middle of the road. This angel of a man grabbed them right away and waited for us to come back! I'm still a little shaken....but there is absolutely no damage to my gear...not a scratch! & they were in soft cases!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I like to think that the guy who waited for you to come back is the norm and not an exception. Funky, I hope you tipped the guy! I would have been so happy to get my gear back I would have emptied my pockets into the guys hands for being so decent.

All is well that ends well!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Typical friendly Quebec citizens :). I'm not surprised though.. Glad you got your gear back without any mishaps ! If that happened here in Montreal, it might have been a different story..You should have also checked your pockets for a horse shoe ! ;) LOL !
