Sabian 21 Inch Ride

Yesterday, I purchased what the seller described as a "vintage Sabian twenty-one inch ride weighing in at 3,126 grams." I put it on a stand and I like the sound. I know that without being played along with my kit that the initial reaction might be deceiving though. That will come on Friday at practice hall. What I would like to know is if anyone has had any experience with this cymbal. Likes? Dislike? I play rock but, am not a heavy hitter. Actually, in my old age, I find myself leaning more and more toward jazz. ANY thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'd love to see a pic. Some of those vintage Sabians have gorgeous hammering.

Wish I could but, I don't even own a camera. Not too interested in computers either unless it's to get on VDF!

I've played a Sabian 21" AA Heavy Rock ride as my main since the 80s.

Great old beast, about 8 lbs. Bell like a church.

pretty dry over all but great articulation everywhere. not much wash but a nice crystalline note when struck shoulder to edge with a very low build underneath.

Not for jazz but as good a rock ride as a Paiste Power ride.
