rubber feet for Slingerland 60's -70's flat based stands

Makes no sense to me. The Auctions clearly state 12 pieces and SHOW 12 pieces in the pictures. What email address are you using for this guy?

I checked his feedback and his listings going back to October 23 and his prices and shipping ($2.85) was the same as it is today.

Here again are his current auction listings

You sure we're talking about the same guy? Raul has 100% positive feedback.

I emaled him and asked why $6.99 a doz. on listing but when I contact him he says $11.50...just got this reply... "That is the new price. However you are getting a break since you asked before I revised the price. If you buy it now I will adjust invoice for the dozen price. Price on the auction is just for 6 pieces." .. Don't ask me what that means, its typical e-bay doublespeak, bait & switch, call it what you like....Oh yeah, his price for shipping is high too. $4.85 ? Ive sent stuff to Europe, First Class, that weighs more, for less money...

well I orig. went to listing on ebay by clicking on your posting, then I "asked seller question"..got back what I stated above..his email is: raulicruz@yahoo.com and his listing still hasn't been "edited".. still says 6.99 per doz, but if you want a doz. contact him for price (always read the listing carefully)

Well Chas, we're beating this to death :). I just looked at his nine listings for rubber tips.I see he has screwed the 1/2" listings up, which is only 2 of the listings. The two inch tip listings clearly say that the auction is for 12 pieces and then it says "But If you need a dozen (12) pieces..." I think

he combined two different texts while listing the 1/2 inch pieces. That line came from a listing that is titled " 5/8" RUBBER USA TIPS FITS ROGERS LUDWIG SLINGERLAND"

Here is the entire text for the dozen 1/2" listings:

" DZ 1/2" US RUBBER FT/TIP FITS LUDWIG ROGERS SLINGERLAND

On sale is a dozen (12) pcs. of 1/2" rubber feet/tips that fit 70's Rogers, Ludwig, and slingerland snare stand, and cymbal stands that are single flat brace 5/8" wide. Rubber tips measure 1 3/16" in length and inside diameter is 1/2". But if you need a dozen (12) pcs., please email me for a quote. Check out my other items for sale.

Email me with questions. Shipping to 48 US mainland is $2.85. All other states will be quoted at end of sale/auction. Please visit my store for other musical instrument/equipment related items and gift items. Thanks for looking."

I'm betting he didn't mean to include that line "If you need a dozen (12 pieces, please email me for a quote". I'm thinking he repeated that line from the 6 piece listing for the 5/8" tips. The listing for the 12 1/2 inch tips, as is, makes no sense to me either. I'm guessing he didn't do thgat on purpose.

As I've said before, I've never had a problem with him.

I'll bet he eventually fixes that...

So, in my opinion, Raul is on the up and up and has just made a mistake in two of his listings. Hell I've done that myself.

yeah well you just showed whats wrong with the listing, just like I said. Only YOU didn't contact him , I did..if you think I'm B.S.ing WHY DONT YOU contact him yourself (And your right about this getting old)..I'm only telling you what he told me..just because someone got a good seller rating on ebay, well it dont mean crap...right now on the vintage drum forum, their talking about a great listing of a kit on ebay and what a great guy the seller is ( he's got a great ebay rating too)..when I know for a fact the guy took a StopSignBadge Gretsch kit, took off the badges, covered the holes on the outside with RoundBadges & covered the inside holes with repo. Gretsch shell tags, and sold it to some poor guy in Japan as a 60's RB kit.. The buyer had to contact a friend of the seller to get his money back..

Chas,

I recomended the guy for rubber tips, not drum kits. Hopefully you can back up the story if the guy decides to sue you for libel. Obviously you've got a hard on for the guy and that's fine. By the the way, I've shared email with Raul many times. As for thinking you're BSing me about his emails to you, for all I know his wife is answering his email and got it wrong, I really think you made a mountain out of an ant hill. No need to fly off the handle and get nasty with me. Life's way to short, we're talking about the best place to get freaking rubber tips for chrissakes!

"...he must of made a mistake" "..it must be his wife" your probably right, my better half has screwed me a few times. As far as the kit story goes, that wasn't about the rubber tip guy, it was someone else who's name I didn't mention even though he also tried (but failed) to screw me twice on drum deals also..peace & love

Thanks for the source tips, and the other diatribes too, I guess.......I went ahead and got the six 5/8" tips from Raul. It seems like a good deal to me! $7.60 total is only a buck and a quarter a piece, and I know that they look and perform like the factory originals without having to go on an extended goose chase. Thanks again guys!
