Hello guys,

i have a snare Royal Star from late 60's, with black Royal star badge.

I'm thinking about selling it but I don't know the value of it...

Someone can help?

Thanks.

I'd say you could ask $50-$60 for the snare. It's a MIJ snare, steel shell. Looks in good condition, I don't see any heavy pitting, rust,or dents. They made so many of these drums, with so many different names. That unless you have a rare one with a size,finish,strainer,etc.. They really don't command a high price.

I sold one last week for a 150 Euro! These are good sounding drums and i think a bit underrated in the Vintage scene! I have to say that mine looked like new:-)

regards and good luck

Your snare has a lot of nice features, like the strainer, adjustable butt and "one-touch" tone control. It also use the "Sonor-style" lugs, which are cool! I would think it might be worth about $75 - $100. The market can be strange at times, but see what happens.

Here's your drum listed in the 1972 catalog! http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/anniversary/expansion.php?cat_id=8&now=13
