Rose Morris snare help

Hi! Posted this in the vintage snare section,where I was informed that its a British snare, so maybe a it's better off here? If anyone knows anything about RM, or is interested please see that thread. The snare has no throw off, and I think I'll need a nut box and lug to restore it. Anyone know what wood it is? Need some restoration tips. CheersHelp

There's a bit of info on the net out there. Here's one bit which is a bit unspecific but might give you a few clues. I think some of the British guys in here (Chris Bence, for example) know a bit and I vaguely remember some posts.
