Rolling Stones, first recording in London

Loading...

Last photo here, in my i-phone. This is the music store, where Charlie Watts and the Rolling Stones, cut their first record. (I forget which song it was.)

There was a small recording studio in the back of the shop. That little room is still there, but it is no longer used for recording.

This is on Denmark Street, which was then called "Tin Pan Alley," as it was where all the music publishers, writers, etc., hung out. Ahh, to have been a fly on the wall back then!

Great history!

Regards, MB

Check out the Hank B Marvin influence. All of the guitars in the window are red.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
