This'll probably get me flamed, for sure. Sacrilege! My favorite gigging set is a Rogers Dayton that had a Pearl mount. Been using it, and putting a cymbal arm in the second hole. Been threatening for a while to change it. Picked up a Yamaha tom arm, my current fav for adjustability. Dug out a Swivomatic tom mount. Fits, no problem. Much cleaner and more adjustable. Plus, retains the Rogers plate! Add that to the Pearl base plate, add a cymbal arm, and I'm set. Works well, eliminated the RIMS mount I need with the Pearl arm!

The guy said "we didn't have the Rogers piece, and you have to mount the tom somehow". Dumbass! It was done by Mike's Drum shop, in Santa Barbara. Now defunct, thankfully!

I also have used the Yamaha arms to mount swivo toms, but I use a Yamaha double-tom stand. The size of the Yamaha hex arms are close enough to fit into the Rogers collets. Real shame someone screwed that Pearl mount into your bass.
