> put the concert toms to the left of the mounted toms if they are smaller.

Best set-up for ascending and descending tom runs! Tough to go from right to left and back round to the right again to play a simple run from high to low. Lots of wasted motion and a ton of real estate to cover between the CT's and the rack toms. High to low is the optimum set-up.

Well, I will try it both ways. But the ct's sound so much different than the regular toms do. Right now the sound I get from hitting them with the floor tom sounds pretty cool. But I will try moving them to the left. Also remember, Im no pro, just a guy that dont want to work, just bang on the drums all day! ( todd Rungren)

Jeff-

I'm running out of superlatives to describe your work on these drums. To do what you did with your kit shows not only great talent and patience, but a real love for drums. You put so much effort and thought into every decision you made as far as how to proceed. You respected their history while making them more beautiful than they had ever been. Checking back for new pics on your thread has been something I've looked forward to every day. You have a beautiful, unique set of drums. Thanks for sharing its transformation!

Glad to see they're done, and glad to see you are happy with them.

Because, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what we all think of the drums (even though we love 'em!) but what you think of them.

They look great, seems like they sound great too.

TOTALLY gorgeous.

Absolutely first rate work.

If mine come out anywhere close to this good, I'll be ecstatic
