Shot this photo through a window at my favorite pawn shop.. This drum just showed up. If it is a vintage WMP Rogers cocktail I hate to see it sitting in the sun all day. Still very white.. not yellow. Sorry not a good photo.

Says Rogers on the tabs of the wing nut on the legs and cymbal mounts.

Looked white on the inside with thin double rings. Rogers ever make anything that looked like this??

It doesn't look like anything I've ever seen from Rogers. On very early drums the interior was painted black but I've never heard of white interiors from Rogers. The lugs don't look Rogers either. I've never seen this in any of the catalogs I have and I have most all of them.

That's got to be the tallest cocktail drum I have ever seen!

The leg brackets look like old Premier's.

A custom piece or "Frankenstein" creation?

LoLoLoLo It's up in a window above the street... The windows are buried behind piles of stuffs so even getting to it to take a better picture would be a chore.

Thanks Jack, I didn't see anything in "The Rogers Book" that looked close. The wing nut, thumb screws all say Rogers on them identical to the way the drum key looks on page 198 in "The Rogers Book" so I kind of got excited that maybe I found a nice old one... not sure I'd buy a cocktail drum but it was interesting.

JR.. I think you are on target.. it's a Frodrick Fronkenstein.

Great movie!

I don't remember where the term for a spare parts drum was used, but it suits what some will do with parts on hand and lots of time to kill.(or out of despiration!)

I've seen Slingy shells with Rogers lugs, Gretch throws. Ludwig butts and Premier hoops the sight would give any restorer nightmares for weeks......but they work...and work well.

The leg brackets are Rogers stay tight mounts. The drum isn't Rogers. Those 2 hole brackets with Rogers wing screws are the only thing Rogers on that long drum. Peace, Gary

That looks like a Vespe cocktail drum made in NJ in the 1950s.

The tone control looks like a Slingerland.

I've seen a few of them, they're not too collectible.

Most of them had legs that looked like they came from a kitchen table.

I agree it looks like a pete vespe from camden NJ. The badge is a circle they usually have these tubular legs that slide up and down on a pair of wing nuts

Maybe it was a WMP trash can. Kinda large for any regular drumming, but it may be ok for recycling my plastic water bottles...
