Hey Adam!...

Does your "dream kit" jones have any funds to make it real?! LOL!! This set is available:

1966 Rogers Buddy Rich Headliner w/complete hardware and cases. Set is ORIGINAL and came all together. EXCELLENT original condition, superb chrome, etc. I had TWIN 14X14 floor toms but sold the 2nd one about a year ago... ( guy made me an offer that I couldn't refuse! ) ... I added the 2nd 14x14 after the fact as it didn't come with the set originally. This is a "mini" BR set up and as such features two "L" arms, Swan Leg cymbal stands, Swivo HH, Sta-Tite/Swan snare stand, and Swivo-Matic pedal. WMP is nicely "aged" and in perfect condition. I gigged these for years... they sound fabulous!... they're Rogers! Cases included. $3700.00/shipping.

Real funny guys.

Keep taunting me! Mind Blowi

Tommy...if I had 3700 laying around I would definitely go for it. Unfortunately I am gonna have to wait until I win the lotto to take you up on that offer. Sad thing is that I don't gamble!

Thanks for the eye candy for now! Maybe when I give up this whole "drummer for a living thing" and get a "real job" I will be able to find a kit as beautiful as any one of the 3 shown on this thread!

Super cool stuff guys!

Adam!...

I play pretty much full time and that is how I have made my living for the past 40 years. The payday's are excellent as I do pretty much all high end private/corporate type gigs with a multitude of different groups. The latest has been a touring Frank Sinatra Show. ( summer employment ) I really enjoy this gig stylistically, plus it's a "mini" big band and the charts are all original Sinatra charts. The only reason I even mention all of this is... you CAN make a living playing, and make some bucks too! I applaud the fact that you are out there doing it!... course a little extra supplimental income doesn't hurt either, and could supply the jing needed for that vintage kit! That said...

The price I have on the 1966 Rogers BR Headliner set is not cheap, but again, the set comes COMPLETE with all correct hardware AND cases. Nothing else to buy! Well cared for and perfect condition. I'm not actively shopping them for sale, so who knows... perhaps they will be yours eventually!

That 14" floor tom is worth a fortune all by it's lonesome. If you put it on the bay right now for 1000 BIN, it wouldn't last a minute. I DO NOT ADVOCATE BREAKING UP COMPLETE KITS, NOR STRIPPING KITS. Just commentary on it's value to the world as the 14 is becoming a rare bird indeed. Even 3 ply 14" MIJ floor toms are getting out of control. A nice, clean 60s MIJ floor tom of this type will fetch upwards of 125 nowadays becase they sound great, when properly set up..:o.

"Ignorance may be overcome through education. Stupidity, however, is a lifelong endeavor." So, educate me, I don't likes bein' ignant...

Well.. without trying to block a sale for Tommy... I bought BOTH kits for less than what he is asking for the WMP. I bought my WMP for 1000 (again with a 14" floor!) and i bought the blue ripples for 2000 (again.. with all the original drums, 14" floor and BOTH L cymbal arms - these drums are absolutely amazing. NO cracked B&B casings on the toms and bass drum)

So.. super cheap..? maybe - steal maybe not. Definitely a deal though!

I'll buy something when i know i can flip it if i don't like it :)

Tommy - those drums are incredible by the way!!
