Is this a good deal for this Cleveland era Rogers Tower snare in a wmp finish? It comes with original script badge case. All original, no extra holes, thanks.

I suppose that isn't too high compared to other listings that I've seen. But, That's a lot of money for a snare that doesn't match your drum set. And, to strip and re-wrap it would border on being a criminal act.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Ya, I understand that, but it will be a long time before I find a matching snare. Don't worry, I would never re-wrap it.

I think I saw a matching Dyna on eBay but it was 10k.

You can buy a brand new one for 600 I think or maybe it's 800. You really gonna keep those new Rogers?

Thank you!

I think so, at least for awhile, been wanting a Rogers kit in this configuration and I really dig the wrap.

You should be able to find a reproduction piece of matching wrap at one of a few places. I recommend Bum Wraps. You can find a suitable re-wrap candidate drum for under $200. I'm partial to the great six-lugger Luxor model.

That's a thought, but I'd rather have an original Rogers snare that doesn't match than go through the trouble of re-wrapping a project snare to match the kit.

That price is quite reasonable. Cleveland Rogers are the bullseye for targeting the very best of vintage American drum manufacturing. An excellent condition example in WMP is worth every bit of $600.

I think that vintage wmp would look nice with your vintage kit

I recommend waiting patiently for a black onyx Dayton era unit to match your new set.
