Hey guys i just got this little Holiday kit but the bracket seems to be in a weird spot. Is this normal? There are no extra holes anywhere...Thanks for any input.
Rogers tom mount question
Nice looking kit! My gut tells me that this was probably a custom order, with the buyer requesting the tom bracket in that position. Even the Knobby bracket for the cymbal arm isn't in the "normal" position! Can you remove the brackets and check how the holes were drilled? That would probably confirm if it was done at the factory. Snap some pictures and show us!

The tom arm looks like it's a Pearl rather than a Rogers although I can't see it that clearly in your pictures.
The holes look like factory holes and yes the actual arm is a CB 700
I would then say that this was a custom order. While a bit unconventional in placement, the original owner felt this is what worked for him. I did notice the Pearl arm, but many of these seem to fit the Rogers collet. If it works, it works!

OK. I concur with the general opinion that the placements of the mounts were where the original owner wanted them to be. That was part of the beauty of Swivomatic era Rogers drums. When I ordered my first pro drum set in mid 1961, I was fascinated with Rogers Swivo versatility. So, I ordered a Black Diamond Pearl set of Rogers Holiday drums configured 8x12, 16x16, 14x20, and matching Holiday wood shell 5x14 snare drum. The bass drum mounts pictured in this topic are somewhat similar to the way I ordered my drum set. The mount for the tom in the picture is positioned where I ordered a Swivo mount for my snare drum to be placed. I had a swivo mount for the 8x12 directly above the snare drum mount approximately midway between the snare drum mount and the reso side lugs. My telescoping cymbal rod mount was one panel further to the drummer's right.
