Rogers Snare Drum - Made in Taiwan -

I have recently acquired a Rogers Snare Drum. Not much info - but looking for a date range and possibly what it's general worth might be. I can not seem to attach photos - so I will describe - the badge is smaller black oval - says "ROGERS" over the vent hole - and then "since 1849" to the right and below, and then "Made in Taiwan" at the bottom of the badge. No serial # anywhere - just a 6 lug drum - so I am guessing a cheap remake - is this the Yamaha takeover drum?? Please help! Thanks!!

Seems like you answered your own question :)

Yamaha Takeover is about right. Though many like myself cannot understand how a compnay with a reputation for quality drums up and down the line can be associated with the obvious firewood junk that is now called "Rogers".

Hell, I don't even think Mister Rogers woulda been associated with such inferiority.

Unfortunately, I'll have to positively agree with everything "larryz" says!

I agree that the drum has little value, but any drum can be polished up and tuned up so it sounds good. So it's still worth having.
