Rogers Silver Glass Glitter

Loading...

I went ahead and traded some gear for this Rogers kit in a silver glass glitter finish. Heh, it's what I do.

Here's the scoop on these babies, the 12 is a Luxor, Cleveland, the 20 is a Mercury Cleveland and the 15, ya 15, is a Powertone Dayton. I'm guessing it was a marching drum in a former life.

I don't know why they didn't use Rogers leg mounts, probably too expensive or they just used what they had laying around.

But, regardless, it's a cool little players kit. Btw, I also got three snares in the deal, a Slingerland marcher, a no-name brass and a Slingerland blakrome over wood. I've sold the marcher and brass snare and I'm keeping the blakrome.

I know it must seem like I have a zillion kits, but in reality I only have two. I do a lot of trading, especially when the band is having some down time. I usually wind up with some really cool kits.

I recently was lucky enough to pick up a Ludwig Classic Maple in silver sparkle and I'll probably hold on to that one. I also have four snares, three of which are vintage.

So, for now, I'll gig the Rogers for smaller venues and take the Ludwig when I need more volume.

JR,

If you still have pics of all the kits you have had in the last few years, you should start a thread and display them all...It would be cool to see a recap of them...I know you have had a lot of awesome looking sets over the years!!

Cheers

Two kits? I guess you traded the Ludwig blue sparkle and the blue/silver duco then

You are correct sir! Traded the blue sparkle for the silver sparkle Classic Maple and $130. Traded the blue/silver duco for the Rogers silver glass glitter and three snares.
