Maybe wich year it was built and if it is worth to collect it, or keep it as a very good playersset?

$200 Euros = $255 USD

That kit, including all the cymbals and accessories, is worth WAY MORE than this price - so BUY IT FAST! Those cymbals on the kit are Paiste 505s, (not sure which Paistes those HHs are though - possibly 400s or 200s) Then those HH cymbals on the shelf could be Zildjian As ($100 right there easy). This is worth 200/255 in cymbals alone - EASY. If those cymbals on the shelf are Zildjian, then all the cymbals are worth $350 (USD) alone. Those drums are "Big R" from the 70s - that's all I know about them (sorry, not too knowledgeable about Rogers). Those are good drums though, I can assure you, as I believe they are American made. A Rogers enthusiast is due to chime in here soon.

Make the call, get in the car.....

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Definitely 70's Rogers, my guess is 1976 or '77, if those are reinforcement rings I see in the picture. Memrilock hardware was introduced in 1976 and the XP-8 shells started in 1978. The snare doesn't look like a Superten, probably not Rogers, but a ten lugger though. The cymbals look nice, except for the crash in photo #2. I love Paiste 505s. I have no idea what the hi-hat stand is, but the foot pedal design is CRAZY! Also there is what looks to be a cool pair of vintage hi-hats in the box with the mallets.

This is great deal, especially for the european market! I hope you buy it.

Christian: I agree with all advise to buy that kit ASAP! It is indeed a Big R, late 70's Rogers kit w Memri-Loc hardware, bullet proof! Btw, my grandmother, Auguste Braun, was born in Ebergassing, 20 mins from Vienna. Love that area!

HY Guys

tomorow evening i will go and pick it up! I think it makes sense to buy it for that small money. I probably will not keep it, but it will be fun to restore and play a kit like this for a wee while!Walking

HY,

here it is! Thats the way i got it! It`s really dirty, but nothing big is missing and the overall shape after the years is quite ok.

We´ll see what i can make out of it.

I am very surprised of the craftmansship that was put in to this drums. This set is an exellent kit!

Kit has re-rings and zola coating inside. Would anybody know wich wood the used on that set?

And maybe somebody knows something more about that snaredrum? Even in that bad shape with a rotten head, she sounds super!!!Help2
