I have a 1970 grey 3 x 13 Rogers Satellite "Skinny" drum for sale. The drum is in excellent shape with no extra holes or mods. The bottom rim has been replaced with an identical rim from the same era and the butt plate is a recent reprodution of the original. Asking price is $500.

I'm not a candidate to buy, so I hope you'll forgive my intrusion into your thread to ask a question. I have a Skinny which is missing the butt mechanism and the muffler. Can I ask where you obtained the repro butt mechanism? Did you make it yourself? It's a simple mechanism. But for one not into welding and plating, you might as well ask me to manufacture a rocket to the moon. Thanks.

I wish I could claim the credit for the reproduction of the butt plate for my skinny drum but it's way beyond my skills. I have a friend that is a former shop teacher/drummer that made it for me. He has a shop at his disposal and enjoys making parts for drums. I could ask him if he would make another copy if you are interested. Let me know.
