I almost 98% sure this drumset is not from the 60's (there's always that oddball)..due to the memriloc hardware (mid 70's) on the toms. (could have been changed, who knows). The seller told me the Rogers stickers say Fullerton. I have a follow up question if 9/72 is on the stickers. I love this finish (I also asked about a red/white/blue 70's Slingerland) and the sizes of the set. 2 rips on the wrap on the rack tom and floor tom, but, it does come with the dynasonic snare (2 cymbal stands, too). I was thinking $600-$800 for this drumset. Could this kit be worth more?

Was a nice set, until the drill got to it. You could replace the stuff back to swivo, but the memeriloc hardware is 1" dia. and extra holes for mounts. I would pass. A good cond Rogers set will go up in value, were as this would go down due to the damage. Its now a $300 banger set.

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Naaaaw...more than that, it's got the snare, for goodness sake. Dynasonic Custom...Q is, does it have the complete snare assembly under there ????

$600, yeah, OK. But, man...yeah, you can see the holes on the rack toms where the swivo mounts used to be. Someone replaced the Swivo system with a Memrilock system. And the bass spurs are generic. But the FT leg system is at least Swivo....

Yeah, well.....maybe more like $500...but again, the snare and the hardware thrown in...I really don't think $600 would be terrible...I mean, replacement Swivo hardware WILL cover up the Memrilock damage, and the shells will mount fine and structurally sound.....

....but then again, you can see where the wraps have shrunk and where the wood is showing thru...a typical problem with the duco an tri-tone wrap styles....

So...maybe $500 is more like it....

....but then again, it is a 5-piece, not a 4....so, yeah.... maybe 6 bill$ and some change is OK.....

Putting the Swivomatic mounts back on will leave the bottom Memriloc bolt hole showing on the toms and the bass drum. Wrap looke to be either verydirty, or pretty faded as well. Might be cheaper to find a bad wrap set and recover yourself if you want the tri color.

This kit has a lot more issues than just the memriloc hardware that has been added. The wrap is in very bad shape as well. Cracked in places, lifting in others, and shrinking at the points where the color bands meet. Also, there are some kind of off brand spurs drilled in the bass drum. Stay away, star far away from this one. $125 is about all I'd pay for this mess!

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Hmmmm.....

Are you guys aware that the snare drum alone is worth over...um, $150 (that... putting it mildly) ? Hell, just the throwoff would get you about $75-80....

Just the hardware...the lugs, the hoops, the Swivo legs, the bass claws and rods...and yeah, even the complete Memrilock rack assembly...and the Swivo cymbal stand, to boot...all combined.... are worth about $300-400 alone....

Then the shells...which (honestly) a tricolor wrap, applied in 3 separate bands, is VERY EASY to remove....much easier than a fill sheet of wrapped drum. The shells, plus wood bass hoops.....add another $150 min. The badges, another $50....

This is one of those instances where the parts make up way more than the apparent whole....

Thanks for the input gang, sometimes, it's good to talk this stuff out to make the right decision. I like the color, but, that's not enough of a reason to put a bid in. I agree with Jaye on the value of this drumset, $150-$300 is way to low. (it would be great to get it at that price, though) Again, thanks for the help.

I realize that there is a Dynasonic in with that set, but if you look closely its as messed up as the rest of the set. WHERE'S THE SNARE FRAME?? A METAL dynasonic that is incomplete like that is worth no more than $100 in todays market. Then you have to source the frame, the end bumpers, the snares, the tension screw, the guards for the bottom hoop.......and who knows what else that isn't obvious in the pics. Not to mention the fact that the point of getting the set was the rare tri-band finish, which is totally trashed, and never mind what the idiot owner that had it previously did to it by converting from swivomatic hardware to that ungodly memriloc hardware.....holes are still holes....a pain in the a$$ to fix.

I wouldn't waste my time on that kit for nothing much more than $250 and that would be to break it up for parts......sometimes screwed up is irreversible.
