Hey JS, Tub,

Throw us an update on this....did you (anyone) here on the forum score these? The ad is deleted.....(presumably sold)

I saw an auction pop up on ebay for the lugs for this kit (either billed as 360 or 380). That will be a good start.

John

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Hey,

yes I did! FYI

I'm waiting to hear back about getting on the proper lug casings. Also got a Premier Olympic birch shell snare from the same guy.

I haven't done too much with them as of yet. The drums came with different heads on each, thus allowing me to dial in what I wanna get when I evenutally re-head them...that is, once I get the proper lug casing for the reso sides.

Out of what was on there (Black Dot, Coated Ambassador, and clear Emperor) I am probably going to go with clear Emperors on the toms.

I already have 9/72 Londoner in Black Strata, so now they get to met their Japanese cousins Cool Dude

The original R-360 series drums were actually very nice... especially compared with all other MIJ drums of the time! The lugs were designed by Joe Thompson. Attached are some pictures of a beautiful R-360 kit that sold on eBay about 4 years ago. They show some good shots of the interior, hardware and finish.

Excellent! Nothing like spending time, and $$$, bringing back our vintage drums to their former glory. Please, post pictures when they're complete!
