Rogers "Big R" 1983 DynaSonic 5x14" (Green Felt/Lug Locks/D114325) Last viewed: 4 days ago

$700 and shipping to acquire this 5 Line / 19 Snare Strand MINT piece of history. Serial number D114325 puts this fantastic survivor's build right at the tail end of Rogers' storied manufacturing legacy in 1983 before it all went down hill.

Original heads on the batter and resonant side have never been changed, and I've only ever used her gently and sparingly in the studio. She's never been outside and I would hope that the lucky buyer treats her with the same warmth I have for so many years.

All original parts, including the rare green felt under the lugs, lug locks, snare strands, heads, and the rest of her.

If you have a Rogers XP8, this is your snare. period. If not, she'll sound phenomenal no matter what age/brand you pair her with.

I will be more than happy to take additional pictures as desired, but I listed it on Reverb.com a few days ago and I posted several pics there.

Hi Heraldo, thanks for your reply. Indeed the green felt did come straight from the factory production line.

Rogers started with green in the early 80s (maybe very late 70s, but don't quote me on that part), then switched to black felt in 83/84 before ceasing production.

Green and Black were used for quite some time interchangeably, but Ploughman's dating guide (http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=24048) which is a FANTASTIC resource puts this Dyno's birth date some time in 1983 based on its serial numbers.
