Jaye:

"I understand...that's a very old Cleveland tag....Yorktown...yeah..."

As always, Jaye, I appreciate your (and all of the other cats) expert perspectives - your depth of experience & selfless sharing of knowledge is to be celebrated Party Party Party

Quasi off topic - my Rogers exposure is minimal - this Yortktown and, through a fellow named Gary N., - I'm starting to gather info on my dad's 1940s/'50s Champion drums (by Rogers).

Do you know much about this Cleveland era Yorktown? It's a 28" x 10" marcher - It has (i think) first wave large (2-5/16") beavertails (pre-CBS) - grey interior paint....

It's been my understanding that those things make it pre-1965 or earlier.

Not that I want you to elucidate on the finer points of Rog History - Any good sources/links that you can easily point me to, especially concerning serial numbers / dating? ~no doubt a good place to mine for info; I've also seen some of the Rogers Book online.

Anything brief off the top of your head would be appreciated.

No doubt I'll be posting more on this tree trunk elsewhere on VDF (already have regarding claws)

...but when he played on his drum, he made the stars explode....
