Rogers Newbe Question - After Cleveland Plant, What?

Loading...

I just purchased my first Rogers snare - mid-60's Chrome Powertone with Cleveland, OH on sticker inside. Is there more value to drums produced in this plant versus later....and where is the later plant? Assume the same goes for the Dynasonics produced same time period in same plant?

Thanks very much.

Actually the drums were never manufactured in Cleveland. The offices were there. The factory was in Covington, OH which was 250 or so miles from Cleveland and about 50 miles from Dayton. The most sought after and highest valued drums are from the "Cleveland" era and next the "Dayton" era drums. See the link below for more on Rogers.

Thanks Jack. I did do some reading before buying this snare and it seemed like the most valuable were those identified as "Cleveland" snares. Assuming this era covered the '60s but don't know when this started.

Just learning, so appreciate any information.

Thanks very much.
