Rogers Mounts Needed

Loading...

I need on Rogers Swivomatic mount that would have been used on a mid-60's 14x20 bass drum as either the tom mount or a spur mount including the locking collet. I also need a Knobby floor tom leg mount from the same era (not the same as the Knobby cymbal mount). The floor tom leg mount must be one that is secure at the splines between the back plate and the circular leg mounting part. Mine is allowing the leg to rotate (not good of course). I tried to re-secure the splined connection, but without success.

Please PM me with price including shipping. I do not need the mounting hardware.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Blair,

I'm not sure of the angle, but I'm guessing 60. It's for a 14x20 bass drum used either to hold the tom up between the top two lugs, or as a spur mount. Same angle either way. Also needs to have a bit of an non-threaded neck, as used in mid to late 60's. Earlier ones had thread almost all the way to the plate.

20" BD use 75s for the spurs, 60s are for 22" and 24".

Dan! Cam is correct about the proper bracket required. The attached pictured should help out.

Rogers naming scheme, in terms of "degrees" was very confusing! Their use of 60-degree and 75-degree has always stumped me! Originally, as far as their use for toms was concerned, they were called "Straight", "off-center" and "side-mount".

18" and 20" bass drums use "side-mount", or "angle" brackets. The original part number was 311R and became 48-2336.

22" and larger bass drums use the "off-center", or "short angle" brackets. The original part number was 312R and became 48-2335.

Finally, we have the "straight" bracket, which was part number 316R and finally becoming the 48-2334.

Yeah, confusing...right! But, there you go! Hope this helps!

My bad on posting it outside boundaries Ludwig-dude.. Getting old I guess. Thanks for the angle information from Cam and Mark. Very helpful.

Blair,

It looks like I needed 75 degrees. However, (low and behold) I was able to correct the one I have. It would not take a collet, but a little adjustment from the outside-in seems to have solved the problem. I'm not sure how it could have gotten so out of shape, but it is fine after amendment.

Thanks to all for all the help though.

I did get a floor tom mount back plate from Amosguy. Thanks George!
