I haven't posted for awhile, but I thought this would be an interesting topic to consider on this forum - I'd like to get some thoughts or theories about this from the Rogers experts on this forum, so here goes.

This auction was up on ebay about a month ago...

I never bid in the above auction because I was going to the Chicago Show and there was supposed to be a Rogers Beavertail Mardi Gras Powertone at the show, there was, but it wasn't for sale.

So when I saw this auction I bid on it and won.

I think this drum is an original /authentic Rogers drum. I have actually talked to my seller and he is a drummer who recently bought it from an old gentleman who lived in Piqua, OH which is 20 miles north of Dayton, Ohio.

The theory is that this was an employee drum (made for and by a Rogers employee).

These are the pictures of the original auction drum that I saved, does anyone have the others?

These are from the auction that I won.

Any ideas or other observations about the drum? I will post pictures of my drum when I get it. I was corrected on a few points and it seems that the 2 different auctions are for the same drum.

Thanks Mike
