Rogers kick spurs slipping

Loading...

I have a Powertone set with the inevitable slippage. The threads look OK. The colletts have cracks in the chrome. They just go too far down the thread and don't tighten up enough. Would new machined collets fix this? They are expensive - all the aftermarket Rogers is I suppose. Just wondering if the usual cause is the collett or the actual threaded post assembly. Thanks . .

Rogers cast collets seem to crack and split after a while, losing their "grip". Replace with the machined Pat Pending collets will solve the problem. They come up on ebay once in a while. Might also post a Wanted note here as well.
