Posted originally as wanted to buy. Here's a question & a quest for all the vintage Rogers experts! I'm searching for a vintage memrilok 20" bass drum in a tobacco burst laquer finish! Does this drum exist? I have had absolutely no luck in locating one. In fact the only 20" big R kick I've ever seen or heard of is a black wrap which I purchased last year. I have a tobacco burst kick that's 22" but I really want a 20"!!! That's the size I normally gig with & id love to be able to match my 40 yr old burst kit! Can anyone help me out with this? I've been looking for years lol! Thanks

Never say never. It might be out there. 20" Big R era bass drums are almost as rare as 18" XP8 Bass drums from 1982-83..... they only period they were made about 18 months.
20" BDs were produced from 1975-84 under the Big R badge. A few were probably Bursting with Color.

What about a 20" floor tom conversion? May be easier to find until that elusive bass shows up? I have no idea how common the TB's are in 20" though.

Definitely a possibility but comes with its own issues including either drilling the FT for tom mounts or using standing tom holders which would change all my hardware configurations! Also I've never come across one of those either lol! Very cool suggestion though, thanks for the idea- Paul
