Rogers Hi-Hat Compression Springs?

Loading...

Hey Guys!

I was wondering if any of you guys had any leads on replacing compression springs on both swan leg Rogers hi-hat stands and the Supreme model, as well. I love both hi-hat stands, but have gone through numerous compression springs because of their age. I've been fortunate to find some replacements on eBay in the past, but it's been a while since I've seen anything and it looks like those are drying up. I'm all for a modern equivalent. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and found a good source for replacing them?

Thanks so much!

Derek

Hi Derek!

Honestly, I've never had this issue. My current Swivo hi hat stand is from the late 60's and still works like new!

I've also had other Swivo stands, also with no spring issues. That being the case, I've never felt the need to track down replacements or alternatives. Maybe others can chime in on this.

Remove the springs and stretch them. Unless the metal has gone soft, which is doubtful, they should be good for many more hundreds of hours of play.

Thumbs up on this, I've done this as well with good results.
