Can anybody with a keen eye for detail help me out here? I am considering buying a 60?s Rogers Holiday kit. The owner says the toms are 12? & 14? and a 20? bass. Looking at the photo?s can anybody confirm this for sure? I have a photo that I can't upload from behind the set and to me looks like a 20? 12? 14? set but in the close up shots attached the toms look like 13? & 16?. Is it just me? Also should a Dayton era Holiday drum have the ?speckled? grey interior as opposed to the flat grey? When did the later ?speckled? painted interiors start? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to decide real soon. Cheers
Rogers help needed!
How much will that set you back?
Dayton, early period, flat gray interior. Later Dayton, speckled gray. 1967-8 saw the introduction of sthe speckled gray paint. The govt. banned lead paint in 67. I think.
With a 13 and 16, a 22 inch bd would be expected.
The small tom is not a 12. space between the beavertail butts is too big.
Floor Tom is a 16. same reason.
I could be wrong. I doubt it though.

Thanks for that, I had a feeling it was too good to be true. I asked the seller to re-measure the drums more accurately for me. Did Rogers have smaller lugs like Ludwig did on their 12" toms therefore making the mounted tom in the photo look like a 13"? The asking price is 1200 Aussie dollars, powertone snare & Zildjian hi-hats included. Not bad considering they are super rare here in Australia.
Thats probably not bad anywhere, really.

I agree, 13 and 16. The distance between lugs on a 12 should be about the same as the height of the "R" in the script logo. Same with the distance between the knobby and a lug on a 14. These are both more. Still a good deal, though, about the equivalent of $1051 USD.
