Rogers HEAVENLY Drum Kit

Happy Holidaze!

Hi Forum! I'm nearly sure I had a membership to this forum in the past but, can't seem to find or remember the password. Perhaps it was the vintage drum center forum of the past?? I certainly have read this forum quite a bit and do appreciate all of the information posted here. Thank You for having such an important asset the the vintage drum community available for all to see.

Regardless, I'm back with another amazing kit just in time for your holiday. Feast your eyes upon what can only be described as a "Heavenly" creation! Why Heavenly you ask? Well, when I picture the pearly gates, I imagine that they're white marine pearl - and St. Peter is one hell of a drummer! Doubt that I'll ever get to see it but, one can always hope.

All kidding aside, what we have here is a gorgeous and functional, Rogers Swivo-Matic kit that is not only collectable but, playable. I have included a pic for you in this post, and below is a link to a slide show of pics I just took this week.

Imagine this under (or all around) your tree this year. For you late comers, I can get this to you in time for the holiday but, you must act quickly. Expert packing takes time my friends but, I am committed to getting this to you in time for your holiday pleasure. Just take a look at this "Heavenly" kit right here...

The slideshow said 1350 obo. It's in the text at the bottom of the very last slide. Read each bit of text, as it describes condition and repairs. Nice kit.

Great looking kit!

However, I'm not exactly sure what issues caused the "restoration" of the interior shells of the 12 and the 20.

Could you provide further details?

Thanks!

Hi, thanx for the replies!

Yes I am asking 1350 obo plus shipping and insurance to the lower 48, or you can pick up in NEPA. Right off the bat, let me tell you I am an excellent drum packer, and can get the kit into 1 oversize box, but prefer 2.

What you see is what you get. I try not to leave out any details when describing a kit. Check out my feedback as a seller on ebay, seller name De-Spy. I stopped selling on ebay in March 08, when they insisted sellers accept electronic payment. Until then, all of my transactions were completed with a USPS money order, which I will accept for this kit as well. Never had any problems with a USPS MO. Sorry, I really just don't feel comfortable giving paypal my checking account information. Many PPL do tho. Which brings us here.

Fantastic factory matched kit had very little wear other than the repairs I had to make. I believe this was a last chance effort by a drummer to jump start his career in 1968. Kit sounds great. Evans heads give it a deep but punchy rock sound. Ready to to play the day you get them.

Please note: I can list these on ebay with a buy it now (if you would feel more comfotable completing the transaction thru ebay) with the understanding that you will be paying with a USPS money order. For those of you who know me from the PA or CT vintage shows, or have done business with in the past, we can cut right to the chase. Thanx

What issues were there that caused the restoration to 2 of the drums?

Hi,

Oops sorry folks! Seems that not long after purchase, the original owner painted the insides of the two drums you could see from the stage black. Never bothered painting the FT or snare luckily. I removed as much of the paint as possible without disturbing the wood and refinished. I removed all traces of black paint from the hardware, and cleaned it so that it looks very good but, not brand new. I have removed the paper tags and saved them but they're basically toast. I will include them in the sale here. I have pics of the original finish under the hardware before restoration if anyone needs to see them. Hope this helps! I'd like to move this kit. See comments in my ebay sellers profile like "better than described" etc. I take pride in my work. You will not be disappointed with the sound or condition. Thanx~
