Rogers Fullerton Green Label

Loading...

I'd really like to know something about these Fullerton era green labels. I just aquired a 12 and 13 with these, I've never seen them before and I've had lots of Rogers drums over the years. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm as curious as you are, as I've never seen a green Fullerton label either. I'm still sticking with my "faded ink" theory that I mentioned in your other thread. I'm hoping Dan B. or Ploughman will chime in. If there ever was a time Rogers was printing green labels, they'd know about it.

There's a Rogers drum group on Facebook you can join, if you're not a member. Several Rogers experts on there and I'd bet they would be able to answer your question.

Mike that's a interesting thought. Oil base inks were mainly used back then. The Rogers brown ink is a yellow, warm red and black mix of pantone colors. For sure the number was stamped after in black. My thoughts they ran out of labels and needed "something" fast. Green ink was the flavor of the day at ye old print shoppe. So they took what they could get until their job was on press. I have done that many times over the years for various customers. Offset printed you'd need a color wash, ink mix etc..... takes some time. On a Friday afternoon. :)

JR any change you could take a picture "straight on" in front square of the label. Not on a angle? Please? TY.

I posted on the Rogers Group on FB asking about the green ink labels. I'll see what is said and follow up.

I'm surprised none of the Rogers guys here have shared their wisdom. Maybe it's no big deal.
