I'll post a pic of my set soon, but I thought I'd throw out a couple serial #'s and see if anyone can tell me more about my drums. Exact year made/etc. 60's Holiday Blue Agate. I've had them since approx 1970. The # on the one tom is: 99809. I have two Dynasonics that did not come with the set: 8" 33746, 6" 40796. Thanks for any help!

Based on my info, I'd say about 1968 for the drums. I assume the tags say Dayton, Ohio? Rogers actually called the finish Blue Onyx, while Slingerland called it Blue Agate. I would date both Dynasonics to about 1972.

Hmmm.I swear I saw them listed as "Agate" somewhere. Oh well. Yeah, Dayton.
I just found a Rogers catalog from 1976. Don't mean to offend any 76ers...but they sure had some ugly finishes then. (Some decent ones too...but definately some...*boring* ones)
