Rogers Eagle Badge Drums

Loading...

Here's something you don't see too often, a Rogers eagle badge kit in a silver glass glitter finish. It's on the Austin cl, I wish I had the extra cash.

My 1961 Rogers set that I ordered from my home town music store had the Rogers script logos on the drums. All of the drums were Holiday series 8x12, 16x16, 14x20, and 5x14 snare. All of the drums were wrapped in Black Diamond Pearl. I ordered the bass drum with Swivomatic receivers for the 8x12 on my left and a disappearing cymbal rod on my right. A also had the bass drum and snare drum outfitted to mount in front of the 8x12 like shown in the pictures above. The difference was that my tom mount was over to the left rather than in the middle of the drum shell.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

do you still have the kit ... or have any photos?

I'd love to see what script badges you had on a '61

curious to see if it may have been a couple of the early very short run versions of the script badge ... they were showing up still around '61

one was the "oversized" script... the other two were the sort of rounded script and then the straight (not angled) script ...

those were the 3 before the most common one that was seen from '64-'76 when they went to big R

Thanks JohnnyRingo for the pictures.

Always wondered how the Rogers Eagle kit I own was or would be set up, now I know.

Late 50's with 12/20/14

Nice set , what are they asking for it?

Just curious.

I think that's a beautiful kit for the asking price of $1000. Here's the link if anyone wants to go for it....

I love these basses with crazy, multiple collet configurations. The Rogers catalogs really highlighted the fact that you could mount toms, cymbals, and snares off the bass, eliminating the need for separate stands.

I currently own a Cleveland bass with three swivo collets and one knobby mount, but I've never found a matching WMP Powertone with an attached collect to put this to full use. (and I'd never drill an unmolested Powertone just to mount a collet).
