I'd still say 1966. Could be wrong but...

I don't think the tension rods would still be square head in 1967 or 1968. They would have that tiny blip on them in those years.

I've got square head on 93xx 7-line and blip head on wooden shell 118xx and blip head on 5-line 119xx. I have been assuming the 7-line is 66/67 and the other two 67/68 without being able to be too diffinitive for the reason that I didn't buy either myself. However, the 5-line came with a blue onyx set for which I had the original bill of sale for the original owner and it was dated September 1967.

So at 10xxx, I'd agree with Wayne, who also knows when he bought his. Off course, there is the factor of who knows when who took what our of what bin!

Tommyp notified me on the year of build for my 7-liner as a 66` make, considering the s/n and he is an expert in this Rogers field of snares and i very much trust his advice. I received mine new in Nov,67`. so time lines in those days were varied depending on what was left in the warehouse with many makes, but particularily with Rogers.Still needing more leftys to chime in on this most interesting thread and please post some pics of those lefty sets of yours.Thanks.
