How do you tell which hoops I have? I see adds for "tall Boy", Is there a measurement at the lip for these?

The following information was taken from page 148 of Rob Cook's fine publication, "The Rogers Book", Second Edition:

"Tall Hoops", the triple-flanged hoops Rogers began making

in Covington in the early 1960s were what today's collectors

refer to as "tall hoops". While the overall height of a Ludwig

hoop from the same era is about 1 1/16" and the distance

from the mounted head to the top of the hoop is 3/8", the

measurements for the tall hoops are 1 1/4" and 5/8"

respectively. (Rogers hoops were steel not brass like Ludwig's.)

Yes,

You read ANY of Rob's books and you find out how much you "didn't" know.

They're ALL great sources of information.
