Rogers Concert Tom question

Loading...

I acquired a pair of 9/72 Series concert toms (8" and 10") that were painted white by the previous owner. Stripping revealed a horribly scratched KOA finish on both, so I rewrapped both in Ebony to match one of my sets. They look great but slightly incomplete as they are still missing the chrome (or stainless?) trim strip on the bottom edge.

I've noticed on other Rogers concert toms that these trim strips are not flat pieces. They appear to have slight creases or ridges running through them.

Rogers Experts: Any idea where I could get the material to replicate these trim strips? Were they glued on or single-tacked?

Ploughman: Got any of this material on hand?

Material is a stick on tape. Tack to hold ends down. It is ridged normally. I don't have any idea where to get replacement. Might try a craft store to find something close.

Tape? Really? I never suspected the trim was tape, but I'll start looking. Thanks for the tip.
