Rogers COB/7 line Dynasonic

Loading...

Picked up this 7-Line Dynasonic years back, but decided to sell it. Now, I think I probably did the wrong thing...drum was in excellent overall condition and very early production - S/N 7061.

Hi Tommy....long time! Are you still playing?

If you remember back a number of years, I'm the CT guy who bought your Slingerland stand. We talked about your BR snare collection....I had picked up a 76 TDR BR snare at that time.

Hope all is well with you!

On the 7-Line, I know its not that early, but it did seem early relative to a lot of other Rogers snares I had come across. Posted the pic because it was pretty nice, but ended up selling it along with many others I had. No space, two young kids, something had to go!

Hope you're enjoying your Memorial Day Weekend!

Peter

Hey Peter!...

Yes indeed... still playing, and quite a bit at that. Between now and the end of August I have 27 nights, not counting what I've already done to this point. I work pretty much full time anyway with regard to gigs, but last year was definitely off compared to this year, numbers wise. Currently I'm booked through November... no complaints! LOL!! The BR snare drum collection is still in place and dare I say.. complete. Finally found the "missing link" and restored it. Very rare drum as they were prototypes when Buddy had his built. I've only seen three of these.. ( set up this way ) .. and one is Buddy's!

I remember the Slingerland snare stand! Didn't know that was you!.. what with your username and all. Cool!

Actually, as I gig on Rogers drums.. ( 1965 BR Celebrity's ) .. I also have four Dynasonics: 1964 COB 7 line.. 1965 COB 7 line.. 1966 wood WMP.. and 1967 wood WMP. The '67 wood WMP is the drum of choice that I play 99.9% of the time. Thought you might have wanted to know the date of manufacture on yours though. Here's a shot of my 1965 COB 7 line.. ( exactly the same as yours only a year earlier ) .. and my '65 BR Celebrity's with the '67 Dynasonic behind them. BEST to you to Peter!

Hi Tommy, great to hear your playing (a lot)!

I kind of faded from drums for awhile and now it seems I am starting to get back into it. I'm just a hobby player who loves drums, music with a bit of collecting thrown in.

Happy to be back on the site!

Glad to see you're doing well!

Stay well!

Peter

Hi Tommy

Sorry to hijack this thread, but you seem you know about Dynasonics.

I do have a seven-line with the serial 6093. Could you please tell me the year of production?

Thanks, Michael

Hey Michael!...

With a serial of #6093, your drum dates to LATE 1965. The #6000 series of serial numbers starts again! in early 1966, but yours with serial #6093 is early #6000's, putting it at late 1965. That's as close as I can get it for you!
