Rogers COB Powertone/#5997

Again, years back I had been into collecting Rogers snares and got into a groove of picking up Powertones. Nice snares, this was a pretty early Cleveland snare with farily low number (5997), "Clockface" strainer, nice condition, eventually sold it along with a few later ones as I became more interested in Dynasonics.

Nice! I have a Cleveland Powertone also but it's a COS. I'm not a 100% sure but I think Cleveland PTs were COS and then changed to COB in the late 60's.

How do you know it is steel? I believe the Powertone, like the Dynasonic, was always brass.
