Rogers clock face throw off for dynasonic question

Loading...

Does anyone have specs on a rogers clock face throw off for a dynasonic? I need to know how the lever is fixed or is it screwed on? Anyone have a diagnostic?

What do you mean by "specs"? If you have a small amount of mechanical skills, it will be easy to figure out how the strainer comes apart and getting to the lever. I recently detailed my 60's Powertone that has the Clock-face strainer. Attached are 2 pictures showing the complete strainer and the lever after being removed for cleaning.

Thanks Mark!

I purchased a very old dynasonic from a Freind and noticed immediately the lever was missing on clock face throw off. I have a Rogers 360 kit and the snare has a different throw off but the lever looked very similar to me.

After taking 360 throw apart I unscrewed the lever and put in into the clock face! Is the lever screwed into the inside of clock face? Mine is not and the mechanism is off. I wanted to sort this out before purchasing a new clockface! Also if the screws on the back of clockface come loose would that cause lever to fall out? My question is this is the lever on a vintage clockface throw off (with the letter D) screwed into the inside of throw off ?

It’s one of the best sounding drums I’ve ever heard so I greatly appreciate your help!

Thank You

I recently re-assembled my Powertone after a complete cleaning. Give me some time and I'll remove the strainer and snap some pictures of how the lever attaches internally.

Just removed my Clock Face strainer and disassembled it. I hope these show the detail you are looking for.

Forgot to mention that the levers are the same for all the strainers...Clock Face, Swivomatic, Bantam and Sta-tite. I believe the Sta-tite was used on R-360 and R-380 snare drums. The only other difference with the levers is that Rogers used a longer version for 6.5" deep snare drums. This won't cause any problems, other than the lever sticking up too high on a 5" deep drum!

Don't want to steal this post, but can anyone tell me how to disassemble a Bantam strainer? Couldn't seem to get it apart yesterday...marko
