Hello~!

Can someone please tell me the years each style of these Rogers Bread and Butter lugs were used? And was there a specific timeframe overlap from old to new?

Thanks!

Glenn.

The plain drawn style was used from early through late 50's then replaced with the ribbed style which changed in sizes. You will find floor toms with large or slightly smaller lugs and tom toms with large or peanut sized lugs.I got a soft spot for tubs sporting these lugs.

The 'coffin' lugs were made in only that one size, were used on snares, toms and basses. As previously stated, used until 1959 or so, then the ribbed lugs came out. The earliest versions used the 'peanut' size on the small toms...

Keep a eye on ebay. I see them pretty often there. The one in the pic I posted came from a kind gent at DFO who was giving some away.

I missed out on a lot of 21 BnB lugs on ebay that sold for $1.75! All were cracked and a few broken but I could have salvaged quite a few. I got home late from work and missed the end. DOH
