That is my favorite finish! I have a beautiful 20-12-14ft-16ft with a matching powertone., all Cleveland. I've been meaning to get a glamour shot of these. Perhaps this will light a fire.

Congrats on the kit!

I can't seem to stay away from Swivo era Rogers drum sets for very long. Until a few months ago, I had been without a Rogers drum set for about three years. Then, my favorite vintage drum shop located in Houston put a 1966 Rogers Top Hat set (20-two 12s-16) on display. These drums hollered out that they wanted to come home with me. What surprised the heck out of me is that Silver Sparkle--even the Rogers Silver Glass Glitter--has never appealed to me. That all changed in the proverbial heart beat. I brought this drum set home with me. I already had a similar vintage COB Powertone snare. But, I always lust for matching wood shell snare drums for my drum sets. A new VDF friend surprised me with a 1966 Luxor snare that is a perfect match for the drum set. Luxor snare drums are my co-favorite Rogers snares with wood shell Holiday snare drums. I just took on a little project to further expand this drum set. I have a set of 1950s or 1960s Ludwig drum set bongos that had been re-wrapped in Red Sparkle to match a set of orphan shells that I re-wrapped and sold. I forgot that I had them until a few days ago. The red wrap was held on with the tape method. They easily shed that wrap. I located a strip of Silver Glass Glitter wrap online that is ample enough to wrap the two little bongo drums. pictures of completed project will be posted when completed.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Very cool kit JR. There's gotta be some kind of clear self-leveling epoxy you could follow those cracks with. Or leave it if you're going to flip it I guess. :)

Now let's get Dave to post that glamour Cleveland shot.
