My first Swivo pedal was ordered with my new 1961 Rogers set. The footboard was held in place to the frame by two bearing screws at the heel that had a tendency to work their way out of the receiver thread for tall of the many years that I used this pedal with several different drum sets. I replaced the bearing screws a few times over the years. The two holes in the foot board "ears" into which the bearing screws were inserted eventually wore out, and the holes were unusable to hold the screws in place. The one set screw that locked the foot board in place for length would also loosen on its own. Then, the entire foot board would slide forward to hit the batter head. I had to replace the foot board after many years of using this pedal as my go-to pedal. But, I loved this pedal despite its shortcomings. I have subsequently acquired a few Swivo pedals with the hinged foot board. I have had zero issues with any of them. I sure wish that I had ordered the hinged one in the first place.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
